Sizwe Snail Ka Mtuze is the Senior at Snail Attorneys @ Law. Sizwe Lindelo Snail ka Mtuze holds a Baccalareus Legum (LLB) from the University of Pretoria with Tax Law and Cyber-Law electives & also an (LLM) from the University of South Africa (UNISA).  He is currently registered with the University Of Fort Hare for an (LLD).

He is an Adjunct Research Fellow at the University of Fort hare (UFH) since 2015 and Lecturer in Cyberlaw / IT Law (LLB and LLM levels) Sizwe is also a regular external examiner for Cyber Law / IT Law for LLB and LLM students. He is still the International Co-ordinator of the African Centre for Cyberlaw and Crime Prevention (ACCP) based in Kampala, Uganda. Sizwe Snail ka Mtuze is also a member of South African Information Regulator (SAIR) and member of Films and Publication Appeal Board (FPAB) since 2016 and 2017 respectively.

He is also co-editor and author of the 3rd Edition of Cyberlaw @ SA 3. He is also currently involved in the writing of 4th Edition Cyberlaw @ SA 4 to be released in 2021. He is the author of various articles on Cyberlaw in accredited and non-accredited journals both locally and internationally and has given ad hoc lectures for the Law Society South Africa (LSSA), Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), University of Johannesburg (UJ),University of Witwatersrand (WITS),University of Fort Hare (UFH) and University of Pretoria (UP).He regularly comments on Cyberlaw / IT Law matters in in various South African journals, newspapers, television and radio talk shows.

He also presents papers and attends both local and international conferences (South America, North America, Europe and Asia) on Cyberlaw / IT Law matters. He also does in-house corporate lectures and presentation and regularly gives opinions to both the private and government sectors. He has a diverse client base of various private companies and government institutions both in South Africa and in Central, West and East Africa.

Sizwe Snail KA Mtuze was a member on the ICT REVIEW Panel of the Department of Telecommunications & Postal Services (DTPS), serving as a Chair of the E-commerce Committee (Digital Society as renamed) within the Panel sub-committees (2014 – 2015). Sizwe Snail Ka Mtuze also served on the National Cyber Security advisory Counsel of the DPTS. (2015 – 2017).

He is also currently serving as Chairperson of the LSSA & previously served as Deputy Chair for the LSSA, E-Law Committee (2013 – to date). Sizwe Snail ka Mtuze is  a ZADNA Mediator for Domain Name Disputes (2018 – to date) & is also a Trainee Adjudicator of the SAIIPL, Domain Disputes and is also the co-founding member of the Annual Cyberlaw Conference and the Annual Lex – Informatica (2008 – to date). Snail ka Mtuze is a WASPA Adjudicator (2008- to date).

Miss Maja – Snail Attorneys Alumni

Miss Maja currently serves as a Paralegal @ Snail Attorneys @ Law Incorporated. Njabulo Mthimunye

Njabulo Mthimunye is a Paralegal at Snail Attorneys @ Law Inc. He holds a Paralegal diploma from the South African School of Law and is currently pursuing the LLB degree with Varsity College in Pretoria.

Siyabulela Matanzima

Siyabulela is a Candidate Attorney at Snail Attorneys At Law Inc.  He is registered as an LLB student at the University of South Africa.  He takes a keen interest in labour matters and has, over the period of his articles of clerkship gained knowledge and experience in Civil Litigation, commercial law and family law.

Vilimile Gumede – Candidate Attorney BA Law (UP)

Vilimile is one of three Candidate Legal Practitioners at Snail Attorneys @ Law Inc. He spends the larger amount of his time with the firm drafting Heads and preparing Counsels’ briefs for civil lawsuits. His legal experience boasts matters in (the defense of) Banking Litigation, land claims, litigation based on disclosure in terms of PAIA and general commercial litigation. He takes an interest in Cyberlaw and in particular the development of privacy and data protection laws in Africa. Vilimile has attended various conferences on Cyberlaw and has authored and co-authored articles and opinion pieces on domain names under Trade Mark Law, as well as the application of the POPIA.

Asanda Snail

Asanda Snail is a Specialist Project Manager employed by Lex – Informatica and Snail Attorneys to come up with new and innovative ways to offer training and legal consulting in ICT Law / Cyber Law space. He is currently finalizing his Advanced Programme in Project Management (PPM) with the University of Pretoria and holds a Certificate in Project Management from Damelin College, Pretoria ( 2018 -2019 ).
